Angus Macnab is the Chief Technology Officer of red violet. Mr. Macnab brings over 15 years of experience in data science, engineering, and scientific computing.
Since joining red violet in 2015, Mr. Macnab has held various roles within the company and has built and designed significant portions of the company’s data fusion, entity resolution, and data matching capabilities. Previous roles at red violet include Senior Vice President of Data Science and Engineering and Vice President of Analytics and Seattle Operations. Mr. Macnab’s past achievements include sitting on the executive board of the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), an honorable mention for the 2005 Gordon Bell Award for outstanding achievement in high-performance computing, and numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited presentations at conferences, universities and national laboratories.
Mr. Macnab received his Ph.D. in computational physics in 2003 from William and Mary and has completed post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Maryland’s Center for Scientific Computation and Mathematical Modeling and the University of Washington’s Plasma Science and Innovation Center.
